@BikeSnobNYC chimed in with 4 April 1898 AND did so on his blog! After tonight’s Ignite NYC #8, Brooklyn Edition, the gang of @NewAmsterdamize will be buying a few pitchers of NYC beer!


At the risk of injecting religion into this discussion, I’d like to ask you to consider that holding NYC’s first tweed ride on Easter weekend — and particularly if you plan it for Easter Sunday — will keep away a great many people who might be otherwise eager to attend and participate. Perhaps the following weekend would be better, when we’re deeper into spring and so run a much-lower risk of being broadsided by a snowstorm (it has snowed in NYC on the first week of April for seven of the past 10 years).
Thanks for letting me put my two cents in. I’m looking forward to the ride, and I hope it’s only the first of many. (And I still like your idea of riding in chef’s garb….)
